OnApril 16, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 occurred in pednares area of Ecuador. The Company's Project Management of Derxi hydropower station actively participated in the earthquake relief work and made concerted efforts to help the affected people rebuild their homes.

The impact on Derxi hydropower station project is relatively small since it is far away from the earthquake source. However, the Project Management keeps in its mind performing the social responsibilities of Chinese central enterprises, and launched charity fund-raising activities, and successively donated biscuits, bread, rice, milk, sugar, tissue paper and clothing to the disaster areas. At the same time, the Project Management also communicated with the local government of Samora city to remove the signal control tower of the airport near the camp of the Project Management, so as to use the materials for the construction and deployment of the airport in the severely affected areas after the earthquake.
