Recently, donation certificates of honor have been issued to the Company's Project Management of Myanmar Letpadaung Copper Mining by the Social Security Bureau of Monywa City of Sagaing Province and the orphan asylum of Saringi Town of Sagaing Province, representing the high recognition and sincere thanks for the Project Management's generous assistance and selfless charity during the pandemic.

With the spread of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Myanmar, till the early February, more than 100 cases have been confirmed in 33 villages around the Letpadaung Copper mining area in Myanmar. The orphan asylum in Saringi Town of Sagaing Province has been designated as a centralized isolation point by the Government, and the social security hospital of the Social Security Bureau in Monywa City has become the designated hospital for the local employees in the mining area. Owing to the inadequate allocation of anti-epidemic materials from the Government, the two places are facing a very serious situation in terms of epidemic prevention and control.

Since the year of 2014, SINOHYDRO Bureau 10 Co. Ltd’s Project Management of Myanmar Letpadaung Copper Mining has been aiding financially the orphan asylum of Saringi Town of Sagaing Province. Upon occurrence of the confirmed cases around the mining area, part of the children and teachers were evacuated from the orphan asylum, whereas there are still 36 teachers and students stayed in the orphan asylum, with a close distance to the isolated area, in which case use of the anti-epidemic materials is directly related to the safety of life of the teachers and students. The Project Management immediately arranged the outside staff to deliver 2,000 pcs of disposable surgical masks to the orphan asylum. The director of the orphran asylum, Youkawida, called the Project Management to express his gratitude and highly praised the Project Management for the love and kindness in timely offering the assistance and sent through a special trip the donation certificate of honor to the Project Management accordingly.

There is a large volume of people to and fro at ordinary times for the social security hospital of the Social Security Bureau of Monywa city, which belongs to a high-risk area of the epidemic, with a large quantity of use of the anti-epidemic materials, causing a shortage thereof, and the health and safety of the medical staff are threatened seriously. The Project Management sent 4000 pcs of disposable surgical masks to the social security hospital, which greatly relieved the pressure on the hospital in that regard. Daai Aisen, director of the Social Security Bureau of Monywa City, personally sent the donation certificate of honor to the Project Management, and called to express his sincere thanks, complimenting that Powerchina is a company full of love and sense of social responsibility, and he believed that Myanmar would definitely win the final victory in the fight against the pandemic with the joint efforts of employees from China and Myanmar.
